standing alone in complexity

That has me thinking though, about what I would personally request in a game engine. I am not sure if it is within the scope of this discussion, but I wish people like me, who are creators (writers and artists), could build games without having to become fairly proficient with the language an engine is written in. I think my best chance is to focus on pygame, some Lua-based engine, or more realistically, using some HTML(5) thing.
